The Loonies Guard | Poetry
A spiral eye to watch the lane,
To catch the light and curb the strain.
A bone-white shield for the open road,
To carry the weight and ease the load.
Through the glass and through the glare,
I leave the madness to the air.
With crystal spark and leaden line,
The path is clear, the peace is mine.

A CLOSER LOOK
In the space between the dash and the glass, there is a threshold. Beyond the windshield, the world is a current of noise and fragmented light—loonies at every turn, chaos on the asphalt. But here, inside the frame, the air is weighted.
This is more than a charm of glass and lead; it is a sentinel.
A spiral eye to draw the static in, and a bone-white shield to keep the madness out. Every shard reflects the path ahead, but the lead holds the peace within.
Let the road run wild. Inside this circle, the current is still.
This is the ward.
✵꙳٭ These little Loonies are made with white iridized glass and their faces are hand painted, making each Loonie a little bit different each time and one of a kind.
